Meet Our Dentists


Dr. Jason Merrithew graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2004. He has been a lifetime Michigan resident originally from Grand Blanc. He has always enjoyed visiting the Grand Traverse area and decided to call Traverse City home after dental school. Dr. Merrithew and his wife Carrie have two children; a daughter, Hanna, and a son, Andrew. They enjoy taking their daughter to the park, camping, and spending quality time together as a family.

Dr. Steven Niergarth is a 1985 graduate of the University of Michigan Dental School. Having grown up in Traverse City, he always knew he wanted to return to our beautiful area upon graduation. Dr. Niergarth, while very proud of the dental practice he helped build, is even more proud of his family. He and his wife, Lisa, have three children; two sons, Nick and Jake, and a daughter, Natalie. They enjoy hiking, camping, and attending their sons' sporting events and daughter’s dance performances. Dr. Niergarth and his family live in the Cedar area and his children attend Glen Lake Schools.
